MAXWORTH ORCHARDS (INDIA) LTD- under provisional LIQUIDATION

  • In the matters of M/s. Maxworth Orchards (India) Limited – under provisional liquidation an application filed in the Hon’ble High Court of Madras as C.P. No. 57/1998 dated 24-2-1998 for winding up of Maxworth Orchards (India) Limited by a creditor of the company.


  • The Hon’ble High Court of Madras appointed Shri. K.Alagiriswami as Administrator of Maxworth Orchards (India) Limited – Under provisional liquidation vide order dated 12/2/2001 in C.A. No. 63/2001.


  • Shri K.Alagiriswami was appointed to exercise all the powers of Official Liquidator of Maxworth Orchards (India) Limited – Under provisional liquidation vide order dated 6/2/2006 in C.A. No. 353/2006.


  • By order dated 17/09/2010 in C.A. Nos. 884 to 886 of 2008 in C.P. No. 57 of 1998 passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Madras, the Official Liquidator attached to Hon’ble High Court of Madras was appointed as a Provisional Liquidator of Maxworth Orchards (India) Limited – Under provisional liquidation with directions to take charge of the assets and effects of the Company in provisional liquidation. In and by the said order Shri. K.Alagiriswami, Senior Advocate of Madras High Court, who was already appointed as the Administrator by an order dated 12.2.2001, was requested to continue to be the Administrator of the Company and perform his functions in association with the Official Liquidator.


  • After the demise of Shri K. Alagiriswami in February 2021, Smt. D.Nagasaila Suresh was appointed as Administrator of Maxworth Orchards (India) Limited – Under provisional liquidation vide order dated 13/8/2021 in C.A. No. 58/2021 in C.P. No. 57 of 1998.
